【 Appearance 】 This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.
【 Pharmacological Effects 】 This product is the main source of energy required by the body. It is oxidized into carbon dioxide and water in the body, providing heat or stored in the form of glycogen, and has a protective effect on the liver. 5% isotonic glucose injection and glucose sodium chloride injection have the effect of supplementing body fluids, while hypertonic glucose can also increase blood osmotic pressure, dehydrate tissues, and have a short-term diuretic effect.
[Function and Use] Fluid supplement medicine. 5% isotonic solution is used to supplement nutrition and moisture; 10% or more hypertonic solution is used to increase blood osmotic pressure and diuresis.
[Usage and Dosage] Intravenous injection: One dose, 500-2500ml for horses and cows; 100~500ml for sheep and pigs; Dogs range from 50 to 250ml.
Long term simple glucose supplementation can lead to electrolyte imbalances such as hypokalemia and hyponatremia.
