[main component] glucose or anhydrous glucose
[properties] this product is colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.
[pharmacological action] this product is the main source of energy required by the body. It is oxidized into carbon dioxide and water in the body and provides heat at the same time, or stored in the form of glycogen, which has a protective effect on the liver. 5% isotonic glucose injection and glucose sodium chloride injection can supplement body fluid. Hypertonic glucose can also increase blood osmotic pressure, dehydrate tissues and have a short-term diuretic effect.
[function and use] humoral supplement. 5% isotonic solution was used to supplement nutrition and water; 10% or more hypertonic solution is used to improve blood osmotic pressure and diuresis.
[usage and dosage] intravenous injection: one dose, 1000-5000ml for horses and cattle; Sheep and pigs 200~1000ml; Dog 100~500ml.
[adverse reactions] long term simple glucose supplementation may lead to electrolyte disorders such as hypokalemia and hyponatremia.
[precautions] hypertonic injection should be injected slowly to avoid aggravating the burden on the heart, and should not leak out of the blood vessels.
