[main component] sodium bicarbonate
[properties] this product is colorless and clear liquid.
[pharmacological effects] intravenous injection of sodium bicarbonate can directly increase the body's alkali reserve, quickly correct metabolic acidosis, and alkalize urine, so as to prevent the damage of metabolites of sulfonamides to the kidney, accelerate the excretion of weak acid drugs, and slow down the excretion of weak organic alkali drugs.
[drug interactions]
(1) When combined with glucocorticoids, hypernatremia and edema easily occur.
(2) Combined with potassium excreting diuretics, it can increase the risk of low chloride alkalosis.
(3) It can reduce the absorption of oral iron.

[usage and dosage] intravenous injection: one dose, 300-600ml for horses and cattle; Sheep and pigs 40-120ml; Dog 10~30ml.
[adverse reactions]
(1) Massive intravenous injection can cause metabolic alkalosis, hypokalemia, arrhythmia and muscle spasm.
(2) Animals with excessive dose or renal insufficiency may have edema, muscle pain and other symptoms.
[precautions]
(1) It should not be mixed with acidic drugs, compound sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate or chlorpromazine hydrochloride injection.
(2) It is irritant to tissues. Do not leak out of blood vessels during intravenous injection.
(3) The dosage should be appropriate. When correcting severe acidosis, the CO2 binding force should be measured as the dosage basis.
(4) Animals with congestive heart failure, renal insufficiency, edema or potassium deficiency should be used with caution.
