[main ingredients] glucose or anhydrous glucose and sodium chloride
[properties] this product is colorless and clear liquid.
[pharmacological action] glucose is the main source of energy required by the body. It is oxidized into carbon dioxide and water in the body and supplied with heat at the same time, or stored in the form of glycogen, which has a protective effect on the liver. 5% isotonic glucose injection and glucose sodium chloride injection can supplement body fluid. Sodium chloride is an electrolyte supplement. In animals, sodium is a very important cation in extracellular fluid and an important component to maintain the osmotic pressure and capacity of extracellular fluid. Sodium forms a buffer system in the form of sodium bicarbonate, which plays an important role in regulating the acid-base balance of body fluids. The normal concentration of sodium ion in extracellular fluid is a necessary condition for maintaining cell excitability and neuromuscular stress.

[usage and dosage] intravenous injection: one dose, 1000-3000ml for horses and cattle; Sheep and pigs 250-500ml; Dogs 100-500ml.
[adverse reactions] too much and too fast infusion can cause water and sodium retention, edema, increased blood pressure, accelerated heart rate, chest tightness, dyspnea, and even acute left heart failure.
[precautions]
(1) Animals with hypokalemia should be used with caution.
(2) It is easy to cause water and sodium retention in animals with liver and kidney dysfunction, and the dose should be controlled.
