【Appearance】This product is a whitish to pale yellow crystalline powder.
【Pharmacological action】Pharmacodynamics Cefquinome is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for animal use. It achieves bactericidal effects by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, and is stable to β-lactamases. In vitro bacteriostatic tests show that cefquinome is sensitive to common Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Proteus, Salmonella, Serratia marcescens, Haemophilus somnus, Actinomyces pyogenes, Bacillus spp., Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Bacteroides, Clostridium, Fusobacterium spp., Prevotella, Actinomyces, and Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.
Pharmacokinetics In pigs, after intramuscular injection of 2 mg of cefquinome per kg of body weight, the blood drug concentration reaches its peak at 0.4 hours, with a peak concentration of 5.93 μg/ml, an elimination half-life of approximately 1.4 hours, and an area under the drug time curve of 12.34 μg·h/ml.
【Actions and Uses】A β-lactam antibiotic used to treat porcine respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida or Actinomyces pleuropneumoniae, and bacterial diseases such as canine pyoderma caused by Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, etc.
【Usage and Dosage】Calculated as cefquinome. Intramuscular injection: Single dose, 2 mg per kg of body weight for pigs, once daily for 3-5 consecutive days. Subcutaneous injection: Single dose, 5 mg per kg of body weight for dogs, 1-2 times daily for 7 consecutive days.
【Adverse Reactions】No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed dosage and administration.
【Precautions】(1) Contraindicated in animals allergic to β-lactam antibiotics.
(2) Persons allergic to penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics should avoid contact with this product.
(3) Prepare and use immediately.
